Can anyone tell me about the availability of power connections for charging mobile phones and iPads on night trains? Also the availability of free/paid wi-fi on night trains?

Hej!
- Power sockets: It is difficult to give a general answer. However, it is more likely to have plugs on sleepers than on regular seated accomodation.
- WiFi: I have never had WiFi on any overnight train
Have you already planned a route?

I have planned a three month Eurail trip using night trains tentatively for 2013.
It would include sleeper accommodation, and reach about 65 cities and towns in 90 days/nights. (Some places for two or three separate days with night trains in between.) It would also get me to Navik for the summer solstice. I still have to work out dates for other festivals in various cities.
I would like to get to all European capital cities available on a Eurail Global pass in that time.
Power would be good but as wi-fi Internet seems to be widely accessible at stations and fast food places, this would not be as necessary.
Cheers,
Richard :)

OK, well like I said above it is difficult to say where you will find plugs and where not...however, chances that you will find one are best on sleepers. ;)
Also, many day trains are equipped with plugs as well today.
Have fun planning your trip, sounds exciting! :)
