Hi,

Some friends and I (probably about 5-8 of us in total) are going to go interrailing in late August to early September. We know that we want to start in Stockholm and go to Berlin and Praha and hopefully end up in Split to fly back to London.
Is this a viable route?
Also what places should we visit in between Praha and Split? We were perhaps thinking Wien, Budapest, Ljubljana and Zagreb, in any order. Is Bratislava worth visiting?

We're thinking the 5 in 10 days pass and spending some time in Stockholm and Split at the beginning and end respectively. And maybe to day trips from Split to some of the famous Croatian beaches.
We can only do a maximum of 14 days and want to keep the budget down, do you think that it is long enough to do the journey though? From what I've gathered it will be but I'm not sure.

Thanks for any help that you can give.

Hi.
With a 5 in 10 you are already limited. So it won't be to hard to find a route. :)

Stockholm to Berlin is possible within one (1) travel day: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/stockholm-to-berlin
More comfortable is the route via Malmö using the night train Malmö-Berlin for EUR 19 (and you saved the hostel):
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/malmoe-berlin-en-301/57

Second (2) travel day is Berlin to Prague: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-prague

Then you have the following options, depending on how long (time/distance) you want to travel:

A) Prague - Krakow - Budapest - Split
B) Prague - Vienna - Budapest - Split
C) Prague - Vienna - Lake Bled (Slovenia) / Zagreb - Split

I would skip Bratislava... it is okay, but better stay in one of the mentioned places.
If you want to visit Bratislava, don't use one of your travel days. It is possible by bus or train directly from Vienna within 1 hour for EUR 10.

I hope this will help you as a first step planing your trip. :)

And if you want to support the railcc project, purchase your official Interrail passes in our partner. Delivery to the UK is free: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]

Thank you, Peter :)
