Hello,

First of all - great site! Very informative! Will definitely buy my tickets through this site, if possible.

I am planning to buy a Eurail pass and the first leg of my journey is from Madrid to Paris. My question is: would it be possible to get off the train and break journey in Bordeaux? I looked, but couldn't find any trains with a destination to Bordeaux. So, I was planning to get off the Paris train when it stopped in Bordeaux for 10 minutes.

Is it ok to do this?

Thanks.

Hi.
Yes, it is no problem to get off in Bordeaux. :)
It depends on the date you want to travel as some trains for summer aren't online for now due to the schedule changes in the beginning of June.

Example (there are of course more connections available, depending on the weekday and so on):

Madrid-Chamartin dep: 0800 - reservation fee EUR 6
Hendaye arr: 1351

Hendaye dep: 1600 - free train
Bordeaux-St-Jean arr: 1836

Bordeaux - Paris: frequent day train connections.

And thak you for supporting railcc with your purchase! :)
Peter :)

By the way... I just saw you are from Spain!?
Note: Eurail is for non-European citizens, Interrail for European citizens.
