Basically, I know that I need to get from Berlin to Paris on the 31st May - and I need to be there in time to catch the 18:53 TrenHotel to Madrid the same evening, so I cannoth take an overnight Berlin > Paris train.

I can get from Berlin to Mannheim easily enough and in time for the 13:41 ICE 9554 to Paris. But I cannot seem to find anyway of making an advance seat reservation for an InterRail pass. I want to reserve it, because I know that I WILL need to be on it.

[ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] says that you cannot make an InterRail reservation for an international conection via their website.

[ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] does not appear to have any function to make InterRail reservations.

RailEur*pe.co.uk does not acknowledge the existance of this particular train.

I'm just asking if anyone knows if it's possible to make an InterRail seat reservation on such a train or if I will have to go to a German train station or phone up Bahn or show up at the station on the day or just buy a straight up ticket for myself.

I'm in Britain so the effort and expense of trying to get through on the telephone to Bahn is something I only want to try if have to, and/or have reason to belive that it will actually help.

Thanks.

Hi.
Why do you use all these commercial websites ? Better to support a project made by real travellers = railcc. :)

And here you can get the reservation without a problem for this train from Mannheim Hbf to Paris Stations. :)
Just use this link: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]

Other option is to purchase it at a railway station in Berlin for example, like you already said.

By the way, the reservation fees seemed already to be increased (in 2011 it was still a bit cheaper - will check it). :|

If you want to support our work, buy your Rail Pass via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you,
Peter :)
