Hello,
This july I shall be embarking on my first ever interrail trip with a couple of mates from school. We have booked flights out to Venice on the 3rd July and back from Amsterdam on the 25th. In case you're interested, here is our rough plan so far:

1.) venice to ljubljana
2.) ljubljana to budapest
3.) budapest to krakow
4.) krakow to prague
5.) prague to berlin
6.) berlin to amsterdam

I've began to look at the train connections, in particular the one between venice and ljubljana. I found this page on the website which is very useful https://rail.cc/en/train/venice-to-ljubljana

However I was wondering if the trains shown on that will still be running come july. Do the timetables change for the summer? Are we able to plan our trip using the times mentioned on the 'train connection' pages on this site or do we need to wait closer to the time for up-to-date timetables?

Cheers :D

Hi.
Looks good your route. If you have the time in Slovenia, think about a day rip to Lake Bled.

Venice - Ljubljana: you can plan with these connections. They might change by some minutes earlier or later, but in general, they will be the same in summer.
At the beginning of June there is always a change in the European train schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
We will update the schedules as soon as we have the information (should be in May).

If you have some more questions, just let me know. And if you like the railcc project, support it and buy your official Interrail Passes here at the railcc shop. Thank you. :)

Thanks for the answer. Yes we are definitely going lake bled, 90% of the reason we're heading to Slovenia! I've heard that you're better off getting a bus there from ljubljana (especially as we're probably going for a 10 in 22 pass).

Are the connections shown on that page all of the ones possible? So if I was to go on [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] and search for trains from Venice to Gorizia and then Nova Gorica to Ljubljana would I find other options?

There might be more connections available.
The ones you find here on railcc are handmade and always updated. We search for the best connections: fast and free of extra reservation fees. Often you won't find all these connections made by electronic schedules = machines without brains! ;)
Concerning bus/train to Lake Bled: ask at the hostel for the buses going there. Of course it depends if you want to spent travel days or not for this route.
