Hi,
i have three questions about the InterRail ticket. :?:
1. Can I really use the Railjet (at no extra cost) with an InterRail ticket? [Link Zurich - Vienna]
2. If I buy the InterRail ticket, I get more accurate usage information? [e.g. regulate use of the travel report]
3. Where can I get information on rail services in the UK? [Link London - Harwich]
There are many private railway companies in the UK, but what is where responsible?

Thanks!
Martin

Hi Martin!

1) Yes, Railjet requires no extra reservation. Just hop on with your InterRail pass. :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train-type/railjet-oebb/54

2) With the InterRail ticket you get a travel map (not very accurate, we recommend the Thomas Cook Rail Map of Europe if you want to use a proper map), and a brochure with some basic info including information about pass benefits in each country.
Regarding the travel report, filling it in is easy. You just fill in date, departure time and dep/arr time of each train you use. No need to fill in the train number (but you can do it if you know it). You have to do this, some conductors may check it...technically you have to fill in each train before boarding but usually it is sufficient to do it when you are at your seat.

3) :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train-type/united-kingdom/uk In principle you can use all operators in the UK which belong to ATOC (the association represents 24 different operators throughout the network). Only exceptions are Heathrow Express and Eurostar.
London - Harwich is operated by Greater Anglia and thus included in InterRail.
