Hello everyone!
My friends and I are going to get the 5 travel days for 10 days Interrail ticket for August and would like to advise us will it be possible to go from Sofia to Zagreb - Ljubljana - Wien (Vienna) - Bratislava(only for 4-5h stay) - Budapest - Sofia for those 5 travel days. Will it be possible? What other options can you offer?

Thanks in advance!!!
BR, Petar Georgiev

Hi Petar.
You might even check the national railway companies for point-to-point tickets on this route. Could be cheaper.
Keep in mind: Interrail is not valid in your country of residence: https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail

Sofia-Zagreb: you will have to travel via Belgrade - would be day 1
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/sofia-to-belgrade

Zagreb-Ljubljana: day 2
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zagreb-to-ljubljana

Ljubljana-Vienna: day 3
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/ljubljana-to-vienna

Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest: day 4
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/vienna-to-bratislava
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/bratislava-to-budapest

Budapest-Sofia: day 5 - via Belgrade, with local ticket for Bulgaria

In Slovenia, think about Lake Bled.
Interesting could be as well: Sofia/Belgrade - Krakow - Prague - Vienna - (Munich) - Belgrade/Sofia

Peter :)

Thank you very much. I calculate my individual tickets and they will be 136 euro, so i think there is no need to buy InterRail 5 travel days for 10 days. My trip will be Sofia - Zagreb (night) - Ljubljana (night) - Vienna (night or two) - Bratislava (night) - Budapest (night) - Belgrade (night) - Sofia ( with hangover :D ). I don't need to buy tickets in advance, right?
Thanks, Peter! :)

Hi.
It depends: some train tickets are cheaper booking in advance = special offers.
Check the places where you looked for the prices. :)

Could you recommend me some sites, cause it was very hard looking for the price of every single ticket by google and some forums and comments. Thanks! :)

The sites where you got the prices from, should also show you detailed information about special prices - if available. Otherwise these sites are not honest and reasonable.

National railways where you can get the detailed fares from, to compare if Interrail is a cheaper solution for you, or point to point tickets.

What about 1.Vienna - Bratislava and 2.Bratislava - Budapest and Budapest - Belgrade?
As i contact Bulgarian railway company I was informed that my ticket from Sofia to Zagreb is 50 euro and i can stop where i want cause it is valid 1 month..also they told me that my ticket from Sofia to Vienna is 75 euro, but they can't give me information for the above mentioned destinations.

Hi.
That's the advantage of the Interrail pass. You don't have to search for all these individual prices.
If you want to get them, contact the national railway companies like mentioned above. Always contact the one in which country the train starts from.
I can't do more than going as well on their websites, search the information for you and post it here.
But railcc is not the support team of these national railway companies. If you want to use their point to point tickets, you have to use their support as well and information systems. :)
Have a nice evening, Peter :)

For Wien-Blava and also Blava-Bpest: unless you are a determined trainfreak-use BUS-much cheaper. Buses Wien-Blava run ev hour-2 diff. companies and cost just 7/8 eur/single.
For Blava-Bpest: check orangeways. bus.
There is also a 19 or 25 eur RETURN train ticket Blava-Bpest=cheaper as a normal single. You can ONLY buy those tickets in the cities there-not in Sofia. IF you want to do some sightsee on the way-can even do a few cents cheaper: local ticket to STUROVO-then BUS over the Dunav to ESztergom=nice place to look around, HU, then local bus or train (not many) to Bpest. The bus on this line goes along Dunav and has good views-train goes inland and has old Soviet railcars.
IF BDZ/Rila can deliver you a 75 eur ticket all the way Sof-Wien, via BGrad-Ljubl, then this is certainly the best buy-as it gives much more flexibilty.
I mention this, as I have a weak spot for poor East-Europeans and know they often have more interest in low price as in only training.
