Me and my GF are looking at an interail trip in june through Eastern Europe. We do have some kind of plan in terms of the cities we want to visit: (probably in this order too)
Istanbul (Turkey)
varna (Bulgaria)
Bucharest (Romania)
Sofia (Bulgaria)
Budva (Montenegro)
Dubrovnik (Croatia)
Split (Croatia)
Plitvice national Park (Croatia): https://rail.cc/en/plitvice-lakes/c
Ljubljana (Slovenia)
Bled (slovenia)
Budapest (Hungary)
We will be travelling on 2nd June until 24th June so have a little over 3 weeks for the tour. We are on a decent budget, but want to really feel the 'travelling way' staying in hostels and usign night train/buses etc.We are planning on flying into Istanbul, and afer a night or two starting our journey. The main issue at the minute is deciding if interail is worth it or not (because of the low prices in Eastern Europe). the main reason is because we already know that buses are quicker and more reliable in certain parts of Romania as well as the Split/Dubrovnik area.
Anyway, I am currently doing lots of research on the net for possible ways tio get between our preferred destinations. If anyone at all could give me any info that you may think is relevent (prices/times/journey durtation etc etc) for buses or trains for any part of my trip.
Following this, if anyone can recommend a 'must see' that is anywhere near my route feel free to.
Here is a link to Google with map points marked for where we plan to go:

Cheers everyone.
