I would love is someone would give me a route, I have the 5 within 10 days and want to get from London to Brugge to Amsterdam to Berlin to Rome to Paris and back to London, willing to stop anywhere in between, take as many overnight trains as needed and fly in between to save travel days.
Anyone willing to plan me a trip?
I'm useless at this stuff!

Hi.
Why do you want to fly in-between to save travel days?
Cheap flights are only available if booking some weeks in advance and you are fixed on a date. The low-cost-airlines use airports from outside of the cities. You always need a bus or a train to reach them. Railway stations are in the city centres. You often have only 8-10 kg for your backpack - otherwise you will have to pay extra.
I am absolutely sure, you will travel much cheaper then upgrading to a 10 in 22:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass
:)

London - Brugge: try to get a special fare for the Eurostar via Brussels.

Brugge - Amsterdam: free IC trains

Amsterdam - Berlin: overnight or free day train

Berlin - Rome: have a stop in-between, for example in Munich

Rome - Paris: either via Switzerland or Nice in Southern-France

All these connections are listed here:
Information about the night trains and connections free of extra fees.
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

If you travel on a 10 in 22, you could have a route like this:
London - Brugge - Amsterdam - (Cologne or Hamburg) - Berlin - Prague - Krakow - Budapest - Vienna - Rome - Nice - Paris - London

Thanks we're actually considering the 10 in 22 and are making a new route, i'd love your feedback when I post it. Should I just make a new reply in here?

Okay Peter I need your help! A 10 in 22 ticket we've decided:

Fly return London to Brussels Thursday April 26th returning May 11th (FLEXIBLE DAYS)
get right to Amsterdam and stay Thursday and Friday night in Amsterdam.
Take an overnight train Saturday April 27th from Amsterdam to Hamburg arrive Sunday April 28th
and get from Hamburg right to Berlin. Sunday April 28th afternoon
stay overnight in Berlin.
Take a late afternoon train from Berlin to Prague Monday April 29th
Overnight train from Prague Monday April 29th to Vienna arrive April 30th
stay overnight in Vienna April 30th
Overnight train from ViennaMay 1st to Zagreb May 2nd
get right to Rijeka. Evening train from Rijeka to Ljubljana arrive late evening
Overnight train from Ljubljana May 2nd to Venice May 3rd
stay overnight in Venice May 3rd
overnight train May 4th Venice to Rome May 5th
overnight in Rome May 5th May 6th
Overnight train May 6th Rome to Nice May 7th
Overnight train May 7th Nice to Paris May 8th
stay overnight in Paris May 8th
stay overnight in Paris May 9th
May 10th overnight train to Brussels May 11th
End journey

This is our ideal route I have been able to find only a few trains on the links you suggest in the country and night train sections. I wish you would send me the actual link to where I book the ticket, not the route because I find often it is not available. I've been looking on xxx because the other sites you suggest I can't read because they aren't in English. If you could check this route and tell me how many days and travel days I use and provide direct links to where I actually click and buy the ticket I'd appreciate that SO MUCH. I have loads of time but I just want to get this booked because the sale on Hostelworld ends soon and we want/NEED to take advantage of it to keep costs low. Want to book everything by Saturday, think you could write me a fully detailed route with ticket details and EVERYTHING by then? Or at least help me get started?

Hi.
The website you mentioned is absolutely NOT recommended by the railccs, so I removed it! Sorry. :)

The schedules I give you are handmade examples to see if an extra reservation is required or not.
More schedules are here: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route

day1 Brussels - Amsterdam: free - using an IC train
https://rail.cc/en/train/brussels-to-amsterdam

day2 Amsterdam - Hamburg: there is no real night train on this route. The night train Amsterdam-Copenhagen will arrive at 0356 in Hamburg, not a long night!
Use a free day train: https://rail.cc/en/train/amsterdam-to-hamburg

day3 Hamburg - Berlin: free - using an ICE train
https://rail.cc/en/train/hamburg-to-berlin

day4 Berlin - Prague: free
https://rail.cc/en/train/berlin-to-prague

day5 Prague - Vienna: it is only a trip of max. 6 hours, also for the night train Berlin-Prague-Vienna. So not really worth spending money for it. Better to stay one more night in Prague and leave in the morning to Vienna. Day trains are free:
https://rail.cc/en/train/prague-to-vienna
If you want to use the night train, what I don't recommend, you can only buy it offline, for example in Amsterdam or Berlin main station.

day6 Vienna - Zagreb: there is no night train on this route. Use a free day train: https://rail.cc/en/train/vienna-to-zagreb

day6 Zagreb - Rijeka (same travel day 6 if you do it on one day Vienna-Rijeka): free or with a reservation fee of EUR 1 for IC trains. No problem to get it directly in Zagreb (easy!) - no online booking possible: https://rail.cc/en/train/zagreb-to-rijeka

day7 Rijeka - Ljubljana: free. I don't know if you want to do it all in one travel day: Vienna, Zagreb, Rijeka, Ljubljana - so I added it as day 7.
https://rail.cc/en/train/rijeka-to-ljubljana

day7 Ljubljana - Venice: no overnight train available anymore since Sep 2014. Use free day trains! And I did Rijeka-Ljubljana-Venice as one travel day. Maybe think about skipping Rijeka!?
https://rail.cc/en/train/ljubljana-to-venice

day8 Venice - Rome: either by free local trains or by AV train. Reservation fee is ~ EUR 10 and available online here at railcc (up to two months in advance). Also available on a railway station before arriving in Italy. Amsterdam, Berlin, Vienna, etc. Or directly in Venice.
https://rail.cc/en/train/venice-to-rome

day9 Rome - Nice: see above for reservation details.
https://rail.cc/en/train/rome-to-nice

day10 Nice - Paris: reservation available online (up to two months in advance) for day and night trains here on railcc or at a railway station during your trip.
https://rail.cc/en/train/nice-to-paris

day11 Paris - Brussels: there are no night trains on this route.
You can use free day trains: https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-brussels

As you now have more than 10 travel days, think about skipping Rijeka, or putting together Zagreb and Ljubljana. Also interesting in Slovenia is the area of Lake Bled. Brussels is okay, better is Brugge, just one hour beside.

If you want, change your route to Prague-Budapest-Vienna-Rome/Venice and skip for example Hamburg.

And you see: just relax, no need to prebook anything now. Most train connections are free, using the information here on railcc! :)
Those connections you have to book, can be done either offline at a railway station during your trip, or here on railcc.
