Hey guys,

Me and my buddy are planning a one-month interrail trip next summer. The plan follows:

Krakow
Wien or Praha
Munich
Innsbrück
Rome (and other Italy, on the way)

The route is good because we would see a large part of Europe: Eastern Europe, mountains, Middle Europe. Even though we're really happy with the plan, I decided to post it here and ask for opinions. Some may think there's too many cities for a month, but we have a plan within the month and we'd stay almost a week at every place. We've also decided that during the trip we may simply stay somewhere longer, if we feel like it. We only need to get ourselves to Rome in time before the interrail pass expires, the home flight would be a few days after that.

We have the dates planned:
Flight to Poland 10.6.2012
Flight from Rome to Finland 11.7.2012

So, what do you think? Any opinions are appreciated!

Hej,

for one month only five cities? Doesnt really make sense with an InterRail ticket. You can easily do 10-20 cities if you want...of course you wouldnt have that much time in each place then but you could see many different places and cultures and this makes InterRailing exciting in my opinion.

Unless you have flights booked already you could do a trip like this:

Turku - Stockholm ferry
then with InterRail
Kobenhavn - Amsterdam - Paris - Dune de Pyla - Carcassonne - Barcelona - Nice - Roma - Switzerland - Innsbruck - München - Wien - Praha - Krakow
and then fly back or go with ferry

Just a random suggestion....

Hey and thanks for the reply!

We want to take it easy as we are newcomers to travelling. There's the whole life to visit many places. We decided to spend 4-7 days in each.

The cities we mentioned are a rough plan, though, and we will be spontaneous on the trip and also visit more places. Those cities are where we plan to sleep most of the time.

Thanks for your suggested trip, we'll take a look at it when I meet my buddy next time =)
