Hi

I'm a first time interrailer looking for advice! I've looked through loads of other peoples suggested routes and i can't decided where to go, there are too many places that tempt me! I'm planning on traveling for 3 weeks on a 21 continuous pass in September. I would prefer to spend some time in each of the places to experience the atmosphere and culture and not spend my entire trip on a train! I'd also rather have a less busy route planned to allow for freedom but the list of places just keeps on growing!

My thoughts were.

Flight from London to Ljubliana

Ljubliana
Lake Bled
Zagreb
Split to Ploce with some sailing, beach time & island hoping along the way
Bus to Dubrovnik
Sarajevo
Budapest
(maybe Bratislava or Vienna in between)
Krakow
Prague

I'd also like to add in Paris but I'm not sure whether to do this first or last. Maybe it would be best saved for another trip? Any suggestions or variations on this would be very welcome.

xx

Hi.
Nice trip... I like it. :)
If you want to add Paris, think about:
Prague - Berlin: free of extra fees
Berlin - Paris: direct night train - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-paris
Paris - London: either by ferry Calais - Dover or by direct Bus using the ferry as well.
Avoid the expensive Eurostar train!

If it is too much for you, I recommend to do Paris by an extra trip. If you have the possibility to book long time in advance, you can get cheap return tickets for the Eurostar train without Interrail pass then.
Peter :)
