Hi everyone,

Hope that someone will help me and give some info about my tour.

My plan is to start travel by lowcost plane company, from Belgrade to Eindhoven 15th February. I will stay in Rotterdam till 20th February (to visit Amsterdam, Haag...),and after that continue my road over Paris to Italy. I would stay in Paris only few hours to make break and take a picture of Eiffel Tower ;) and after that - movement to Milan where I plan to spent 2 days. In that period I will go to Carnevalle in Venice for one day.
Next destination is Rome. I think that 7-8 days are enough to visit the best of Rome.

This is the last destination, and after it I am going home, cross Slovenia and Croatia to Serbia.

1. What do you think about this road?
2. Is there anyone who can tall me how to best make reservation for train and is it necessary? How much it could be reservations for high-speed trains from Paris to Italy? How long before i have to make reservation? Is it possible to make it online or I have to go to the train station?
3. Is there any good hostel in Rome you heared about?

hopefully these questions aint too stupid, but can help me

Regards, Vanja 8)

Hi Vanja.
Looks good your route.

Always have a look on the connections listed here, to avoid extra fees:
https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

For example:
Rotterdam - Paris: you have direct Thalys trains, but with an extremely high reservation fee for Interrail travellers:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/thalys/41

So better to travel by free IC trains from Rotterdam via Antwerpen to Lille and take from there a TGV train to Paris:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42

For Paris - Milan have a look here:
https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-milan
The reservation should be available either in Eindhoven or Rotterdam or try it like described here:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42

In Italy you can use free Regional train or IC trains (inexpensive extra reservation possible) instead of the expensive Eurostar trains:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/italy/it
Connections Italy:
https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route

To travel from Italy to Slovenia, check this connection:

For example , how much more I need to pay for relation between Milan and Rome?
