Hey, I am 23 and I am interested in travelling Europe this Summer for 44days (2X22, 10 day tickets) with my girlfriend. I have never been outside on the British Isles before so I am brand new to this.
I know this may seem like the lazy way out but any help from anyone would be a massive hep and hugely appreciated.
I would like to know the best route to go. Some places I would like to include in my travels are: Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Vatican City, maybe somewhere in Greece, an Island off Greece or Cyprus (recommendations appreciated), then to Kusadasi in Turkey, Croatia, Hungary, Krakov, Berlin.
I am not sure of the best route, also any other recommendations would be welcome.
Preferably Turkey (Kusadasi) would be in the middle of the two 22 day tickets as my Dad has an apartment here and I would be able to stay longer if I fancied without effecting my travel days on 2nd pass.
Is 44 days about right or is it too long? If it's too long what do you recommend?
If I was only getting one ticket would want to finish in Turkey.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers!

youll have to do some homework all by yourself, by using the trainplanner an'/or that old fashined thing named guidebook. No one will come and take you+friend by the hand and point it all out and translate it also for you.
In theory this is possible, but it is by far not the usual str8forward route most IRs take.
Ferries-there are many, many more from IT to GR and a few short-dist Gr-to very near Kus-ada-si (=bird island, did you knew that?), are very much dependent on season, as are the fares on it, and also what accomm,. you choose on them. You might think of using a shorter Ir and fly over from somewhere in It to TR-or GR if you do want to cram that in.
READ the intro here on what trains can be used, how trains on the continent work-in some aspects different as in UK, and how you can manage to get the most fearful things dreaded by so many newbies- the reservation-which are often not needed at all or even used after all, but most people are determined they need them.
Also: 1 major obstacle to your plans is that you MUST give the dates from-to for both passes if you order in advance when you buy them. You should be able to buy them from the TCDD=Turk rail office in a large town like Izmir for your 2nd part, but then trains from Izm-Istanbul are also indirect and partly boated-buses or flying overthere is much, much easier.
Both Barca and Cyprus will mean a fairly large sidetrip and are hence perhaps better saved for a later trip- anyway, just as Roma big cities over there in the heat of summer are not nice at all and mainly burn people.
Depending on where you happen to live in that UK and your desire to do it all by train or maybe ''cheat'' simply consider flying on a cheapo to AMS and from either KRK or BER-but then of course you have to plan beforehand to get the best prices. the €** trains are NOT included in IR and require a ''pass upgrade'' that cost more as their cheapest advacne-tickets.
