DB=german railways has already introduced them per 11/12=date of big timetable change and the rest is to follow shortly, there are limited price hikes UP for the global pases and 1 country. Some countries have moved UP in their priceband for these, meaning extra hikes- notable ITalia- and also Slovakia and Slovenia-from dirt cheap to still cheap.
You can order an IR 3 month advance as starting date (but you MUST state the dates from/to) so you have 1 wek or 2 to profit, if you want to travel in the bleak of winter.
2012 is 40 years of IR-pass, so there will likely be special promotions or quizzes etc.
