NO more lone foot pax on this line. Only with vehicles (an old scrap bike will do though!
Flying is cheaper, or the eurolines bus or eur**train to Lille. The only remaining ferry to stll allow foot pax on is the P&O (like pando.com or so) to run Dover-Calais( the port far away south-needing a very secret bus into town/trains).
Last season the cheapest was a day return from any SOUTHEASTERN station (not Ch-Cross!) to Calais- no advance booking needed and any train allowed-must pay for bus train-> Ferry in Dover though. Unknown if this will come back next year.
Utter stringent measuers on illegal migrants and all that make it far too costly-that is what they claim- for the ferries to make much bother for foot-pax.
What speciality made this route popular..
maDe-as maKe is not poss. anymore. Well, daft easy: cheap shopping, esp cigs and booze/wince in FR for Brits. There is really not that much to see in either Calais nor Duinkerken

No- the busy route is Dover-Calais, by ferry and underwater via the tunnel.
And READ former notes-and specify if you want to go by own vehicle or not- as a FOOT pasenger you canNOT even use this ferry anymore-only the daytime the P&O Dover-Calais.
