Hi.
I know (and already used several times) the ferry from Harwich to Hoeck van Holland.

Hi.
If you only want to travel from London via Harwich - ferry - Hoeck van Holland - Amsterdam and return, maybe single point to point tickets are the cheapest option.
But also a 5 days in 10 Interrail Global Pass could meet your needs if you add some more stops. For example Brussels (avoid the Thalys trains in Benelux), Bruges or Cologne.
Concerning the ferry: it's just a normal ferry. With a restaurant, fast food, ... nothing special, but okay. The best is to sit somewhere outside, enjoying the sea and drinking a beer. :)
The day ferry is of course cheaper as you don't need a cabin. But the cabins are good - and cheap, using the overnigh ferry (see photos).

Hi.
EUR 800 should be enough including the 5 in 10 Interrail pass.
Calculate here: https://rail.cc/en/overall-costs
And have a look on hostel booking websites: [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
Most money you can save on accommodation and on food. Have a little camping gas stove and a pot with you. One pack of spaghetti plus some tomatoes is definitely cheaper than one meal at McDonalds!
If you sleep in hostel dorms, you might miss some privacy, but you will meet a lot of other travellers and save a lot of money as well.

Mmmh. I don't really remember as I spent most of time somewhere outside. But there wasn't really special things to do.
Have a look on the website of the ferry company.
If you want more party on a ferry, use one between Sweden and Finland at weekends. :)
There ferry Harwich - Hoeck van Holland is mainly used by lorry drivers.

I never stopped in Harwich. Always got out of the train and onto the ferry or in reverse. :)

Hello. This is urgent, and I apologize for my English is not very good.
I need to know where to activate my Eurail Global Pass in the city of London. I will use it for the first time in my journey going from Liverpool St station to Amsterdam via ferry.

Hi gustofa.
This answer should give you the company where you bought your Eurail pass,as railcc is not the support of other companies selling Eurail passes and are not able to give customer support. Buy here, support railcc and you get all the answers you need. Thank you. :)
As you can not use Eurail in the UK (except Eurostar), you will have to activate it when arriving in France or the Netherlands, depends on which ferry you use.
