Hi.
85lts is really a lot. It is okay if you do not use the whole space of your backpack... but normally 60+10 should be fine. Always keep in mind: you have to carry all this stuff with you. Just try it: put on you backpack and fill it with water-bottles, 20 litres or something. Heavy - isn't it!? :)

Hi I'm going for 1 month with a 55 litre rucksack. but only carrying 20 kg, which is the maximum baggage permitted by the airline before surcharge. 20k has been sufficient for me on previous Interrail trips, and with a comfortable and well-adjusted pack, not over-heavy.
I've seen people with giant and overstuffed backpacks really struggling. If you are going to wash your clothes every week then you can work out rationally how much you will wear in seven days and this, plus other essentials, and a couple of luxury items, is all you'll need to carry.
Have a great trip.
