Hey guys,
were in Barcelona right now and want to go to Rome for our last days of the journey.
We only found one connection where we wouldnt have to change trains for about 6 or 7 times,
but for this we have to use Eurostar and Euronight. (Barcelona to Torino Porta Susa and then from there to Rome on, starting on thursday at 18:53. We know that they are expensive,
but probably its the only human way getting to Rome quiet soon, isnt it?
But now I'm not quite sure how much we exactly we will have to pay.
I always only read 10 euros. so is that right?
Or do I have to pay more for the Night Star? And where is the best place to book?
Directly on the station or somewhere in the internet? I'm kind of confused by all therese different websites,
where you obviously kann make reservations.
hoping for a fast answer, thanks a lot! :)

Hi Tina and Helen.
Have a look at this link showing you connections from Barcelona to Rome:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-rome
You can use as well a ferry n this route (see information above).
If you want to save money, you will have to do it step by step with an overnight stop for example in Nice - calculate right, to see if it is cheaper including the overnight stop with a hostel or using the night train or ferry or Eurostar, ...
Barcelona - Nice: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-nice
Nice - Rome: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/nice-to-rome
Information about the night train Spain - Italy: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/barcelona-milan-elipsos-1127/127
Reservation fees Eurostar Italia: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/italy/it
You will have to buy the reservation for the night train at the station in Barcelona.
For the Eurostar Italia trains either online at railcc (good if you do it before your Interrail trip - get it send free to your home) or via the website of Trenitalia.
ALL details are here: https://rail.cc/en-type-country/eurostar-city/trenitalia-es-city/48
Also for other types of train - simply click the train name to find further information about how and where to book reservations if needed.
You can always use local trains or IC trains in Italy free or with a cheaper reservation fee instead of the Eurostar trains. Have a look at the schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route
