Little yellow train and luggage

Hi,

Quick question.

Planning to do the Villefranche to Latour route on the yellow train in the next couple of days. While doing it I will be moving between destinations so will have my backpack with me. Is this likely to cause a problem in the open carriages or is there plenty of storage space.
