Hi everyone, first time post :) .

I am planning an interrail trip, and so far I have planned Copenhagen - Berlin - Prague - Vienna - Venice.

I intend to leave Venice either the night of the 19th September, or the morning of 20th September. I plan to arrive in Lyon on 23rd September.

My question is, where to go between 20th and 23rd? Maybe some of you experienced travellers have favourite routes or suggestions?

My current ideas are:

- Travel to Rome for 20th and 21st, then spend 22nd in Milan.
- Or travel to a smaller Italian city (maybe Bologna?) to see something different.
- Or travel somewhere in Switzerland. I would like to see a peaceful, lake environment.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

PS - Another idea is to go to Como via Milan. Is Como good to visit for a day or two?

Humm...

I'd recommend going with the Berninabahn Tirano - St Moritz and stop at the top, Ospitio Bernina. You can stay there at 2309m asl for 43€ per night and have a rather unique experience.

(winter)

Lago d'Iseo is still a little secret but supposed to be very nice as well.

Rome is definitely worth a visit too.
