i.e. Andorra, San Marino, Monaco and Liechtenstein...anyone been/going/want to go?
Only Monaco seems to have decent connections...Liechtenstein does, sort of, but still...!!!

Humm...well, Monaco is a quite obvious stop when you are going along the Côte d'Azur - I was there twice, it is probably OK for a day visit or so, you can walk along the F1 track for example which I find quite nice or of course just have a look around this shiny little island of super-wealth.
And the connections are very good of course.
Liechtenstein is also rather well connected with Austria and Switzerland, there are frequent trains from Feldkirch and Buchs SG, mainly during the morning and evening peak. To go to the capital, Vaduz, you have to got to Schaan-Vaduz station from where it is a short walk to the centre of the small town. They have a nice little art museum there and it is of course an interesting experience to go to this little country.
I've been close to Andorra but unfortunately we did not have the time to go there. If you happen to go with the Petit Train Jaune and have some time left it certainly could be a nice day trip there - buses run from L'Hôspitalet which is the first stop after Latour de Carol on the line to Toulouse.
Sadly I've never been to San Marino as well...and I dont know much about it - but there should be buses running from Rimini. Once there has been a railway but now there are only some remainders left... :|

Exciting! so Liechtenstein and Monaco aren't a problem, but Andorra can be a pain...unless one wants to bus it from Toulouse or Barcelona...!!! and San Marino shouldn't be too bad from Rimini...proximity from Bologna and all that!
