The ferry connection Rome (Civitavecchia) to Barcelona runs daily in the summer months.
Interrail and Eurail Pass travellers receive a discount on the normal fare.
It is an alternative to the route along the French coast.
The departure harbour is Civitavecchia, in the North of Rome. You can reach Civitavecchia easily from the main station Rome (Roma Termini) by frequent and direct trains.
Distance Civitavecchia railway station to Civitavecchia harbour: walk of 15 minutes.
