I need to get from Cuneo to Ventimiglia preferably direct IE not through Savoma (as I've travelled Savona to Turin) on 10 June. I'm using Trainline to book my tickets but when I go through their booking process i get the "whoops something went wrong" message. I got the same message for Cuneo to Tende. I checked Trenitalia direct and still couldn't book. Am I just too early to book?

I just tried Trenitalia for Cuneo-Ventimiglia 10/6/2026 and it is offering tickets. But there are very few direct trains -none between 08:41 and 14:41. But why book in advance on a route that doesn't do reservations and has no discounts for early purchase?

Interesting about Trenitalia as I tried them after Trainline said no. And yes it's the 0841 I was trying to book. I read you about booking in advance with no reserved seat but I assumed having a ticket meant I was at least on the train rather than chancing it on the day. IDK how well patronised that direct train might be.

Having a ticket does not mean that you are at least on the train. It means you have a ticket. There is no priority boarding, it there is a crowd when the train is ready then you have the same chance as anyone else. It is unlikely that it would be so full that people were left behind at Cuneo. Having a ticket doesn't even mean there is a train, there is a quarter of a year to go and it could be replaced by a bus for any number of reasons, although that is more likely in August.

Thanks again. I'm on hold now anyway because of middle east no fly zone.
