Hi!
Will be doing our first interrail trip in September, which includes a journey from Milan Central to Verona P.N.. We have researched train times on the ÖBB route planner, and also DB, and they only show EC and ES trains for this journey, which require a €10 supplement. However, the FS Trentitalia website shows some regional trains for the same journey, e.g. a 13:25 train arriving 15:20 at Verona. These regional trains are not shown on any other journey planner!
Could anyone shed some light on this situation, as obviously we would like to avoid the €10 fee and use the regional train (if it exists!).
Lastly, just to clarify, as we have not done this before: for Regionale and Suburbano trains, is it simply possible to board and sit down on the train with only your interrail pass, without showing your pass or getting another ticket first?
Thank you! :)
