I try to avoid air travel. Like to take ferry to France or Spain from Plymouth. Need information on trains taking me with my e-bike from Santander into Portugal.

what type of e-bike? Is it legal in UK to even reach Plymouth?

Rail travel from Spain to Portugal is VERY difficult even without a bike (or possibly easier since you might be able to bike around the missing links that affect normal passengers!). And it's a huge distance from Santander so what is the plan, fastest dash to Portugal or via Galicia for the scenery?

No plan, my bike is Specialized Vado, no problem cycling to Plymouth 30 miles from my home. Happy to cycle any “missing” parts of rail network in Spain and Portugal. Thanks so much for responding, not usually a “social media” user but this has been great!

For best and/or even possible train rotuings: as always< the english have invented it: seat61.com is THE site to go for. There is also a kind of reaction/questions part in it, but its not as this-nearly dying-forum. But perhaps it may woke the interest of the owner, mr. M. Smith
Sorry, about taking your type of bike I really dont know, my first reaction was as above: check first if even allowed at all.
2nd thought: check if FLIXbus-which DOES allow to take bikes in a coach type Nat. Express lookalike long distance bus allows this-if yes, then chance that railways also allow it are bigger
´Missing´ rail parts for ES-PT are not a few KM as hop over border, but well over 100 km. It will also much depend on what part of PT you aim for
