I go by bicycle alongside Danube / Donau this year from Vienna to Belgrad/Beograd (Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest-Belgrad) and further the last distance to the Romanian border. Is it possible to bring the bicycle on train, from Belgrade to Vienna on the way back. From Vienna back to Sweden is no problem, but I haven't find out how to go back mentioned distance.

THe bad news is that there as for now simply is NO convenient train in/out of Serbije. Links to Hrvatska=Croatia have all ceased and the as such major INTernat. line to B-pest (where I will go to tomorrow, from Slovak now) is under major reconstruction, with partly BUS substitute or the long way around.
Best option for me for your plans is like going to another end with more convenient links to Austria/Wien=most likely HUngary. Or perhaps just over border in ROmania-but thats I think quite far away from the Danube/Dunav.
As such you can take a bike on most=not all trains in HU and AT-and those linking, most likely a REServation for it is needed.
Also- it MAY be possible, again with REServ and not on all their BUSes, on the FLIXbus. These provide a few direct links-check their site, it should have as such all that info hidden somewhere ( in fact I saw that today whilst waiting for my bus-hence this hint)

Thank you very much for the answer. Unfortunately it seems that Flixbus does not accept bicycle in SLO, HU and SR. So train seems to be the only alternative. Of course I can book separately tran from Belgrade to Budapest and make a new booking Budapest Vienna. Do you know if there ara other bus companies in Serbia, Hungary where it is possible to go back to Vienna, even if I have to change bus during the way back.
