We're planning a trip from Prugue to Istanbul with stops at Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest. Reservation is required for the night trains between Budapest to Bucharest and Bucharest to Istanbul. However, I couldn't find a way to see if there's availability on the trains for my dates. I don't want to buy a pass just to find out that I can't buy tickets anyway. Anyway around it?
Thank you,

Most likely youre-like so many newbees, WAAAAAy too early. As a very general rule, trains can be REServed from 2 month before-sometimes a little more.
Best site for more info+directions-and even a description of how to: seat61.com. It lists trips from the UK-so just hook on to a convenenint point, from CZ likely Wien=Vienna.
Also as a broad rule In that Balkan trains are sparse, often very late, and are not much uptodate with all that online modern things on your fone. It may even be needed to do it old-style, in person, at a station with someone behind a window. They are also pretty cheap-even compared with CD in CZ, so a pass for just that trip is not worth it.
For more questions use another site-this forum is dying-slowly, the original german setup has about left it and a few trytobehelpful peple sometimes pass by. Good luck with it all.
