Wanting to book two seats first class on the day train Podgorica to Belgrade 1st July. But its not possible to do this online, you have to buy tickets at the station...and the website says apparently be flexible with your travel days! This is not really possible for us as we fly out of Belgrade after two nights there so cannot miss that flight.
What do we do? How far ahead do the seats sell out? Or do we just chance it as we will be in Podgorica for three days prior. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Sorry, google (I presume?!) led you to a slowly dying site-there will be hardly anyone here who would really know all these fine details. Your post reads realistic and I frankly see it :: ´We just want to be reassured!´. Well, I will: dont fret, dont worry (too much). You can in fact arrange it all at ANY staffed train station in the Black Mountains (=Cerna Gora= Monte Negro). I assume it would also be wise enough to have enough real local cash money. Ad to be at least be as flexible enough to perhaps, maybe, could do also consider 2nd cl.
THAT this train would be booked solid days ahaid-and even more so for 1st cl on the 1st day and for DAYtime is likely less as 0,001% IMHO.
Also be aware that so many enthuse about the splendid views-well these are said to be much better on the much shorter part SOUTh of that dreaded capital of that small ´country´ not really recognised by many yet. And in these parts of thw world: IF there are said to be very often full trains, there will be plenty of alternative BUSes.
Also be aware: the end of the line in Beograd is now an awful new/under building concrete monster in suburbia. BUT the city has made its local transit FREE for each&all to reach centre town.
Its 1/4 today, so some humorism may be at place, but ALT; a general touristy site like TA=TripAdvisor-better use the country subforums as ´rail/trains´ is in most cases better able to provide such local info. IF really supernervous and eager to know more- suggest to go there. Good luck with it all!!
