Hi! I've sourced a few places and no one talks about if Euronight has showers. Everyone says that Nightjet has showers. I'm wondering if I should cancel my Euronight to change to Nightjet as it has showers. I am travelling at night from Zurich to Vienna and will be taking the train EN 40467

In my opinion a shower on such a short route (dep. Zürich 21:40 , arr. Wien 06:32) is not really neccesary , but thats just my opinion . But if you need one , NightJet is unvoidable on this route ! So the EuroNight does not feature a shower , neither a communal nor a private on this route . Actually EN 40467 has two parts : If you have a Ticket for car no. 303 - 308 you are in the NightJet-section , if the Ticket is for car no. 316 - 319 youre in the EuroNight-section . Also note that you will only have a shower if you book the Deluxe-Cabin on the NJ which can be as expensive as 600€-1000€ !!!! So think if you really need this shower and calculate wisely ! And only cancel the current ticket after you got the new one . Btw. is your current ticket even refundable ? Cherres argon :)

Yeah, I can refund if I want but there seems to be not much seats left sadly. The nightjet and euronight sleeper cabins are full as of now. I wanted to take a shower because we came from a flight and actually did a stupid thing by landing at Geneva. Should have land at Vienna instead but oh wells. I am in the 316 section. But thank you really! I didn't know you could tell which section you are in just by looking at the car no! Thank you!!!

In general such-so often promoted by some- special sleeper carriages do NOT and also never had real showers, as any HTL would offer. As also planes do not offer (have just deboarded such a thing). Only quite recently-and for the highest possible extra surcharge, SOME, thus mostly NJ=NightJet trains, offer SOME cabins with it. But people from farway, going on Eurail, are partly misled by all that over-positive propaganda on such trains.
IF you really feel you cannot do without a shower, check what GNV-airport may have on offer-but its CH=Swiss so also wont be cheap.
BTW: I just read in some train-lovers forum about a trip with no less as 3 sleeper/nigttrains behind one another and without any hint on such comforts. As I also recall in my own days long ago when as a poor student not even that sleeper was affordable-all in just the normal daytime seats-also through the night

You can look the scheduled compostion on a website called vagonweb.cz -> for your train https://www.vagonweb.cz/razeni/vlak.php?rok=2025&id=7232 (EN 40467 is through cars attached to NJ 467)
