I have a waiting time from 1 to 5 at Venlo, between two trains. Is it possible to stay inside the station? Anyone know?
TIA

Have been many, many, many times in that station-on the day transfer between trains to/fro DE=Germany as a dutchman myself.
There is-like with so many things in real life, theory and practice.
Theory: ALL stations in NL, that have a large gap between last train of the day and 1st in the morning, are closed off by security staff-also to make sure there is NOone staying inside with possible vandalism etc. They will be opened to use 1st train some 10-15 mins before that train goes. Some with advance techno. even from a distance. Venlo IS completely lockable-some minor halts are just open platforms along the tracks.
Practice: many of those stations are still ´used´ by homeless people, or others, or even by partygoers who were too late to catch last train (drunk, out on fighting etc.) as one can always find some spot to enter. You MAY then be caught by police-or not.
Frankly: rearrange plans-there are surely other spots that can give you about same train timings and provide you with chance to stay overnite in a safer way

2.also note -as I guess you intend to also make the trip toward DE: as for now and the coming monthes the ´normal´ hourly service on RE13 eurobahn is minimalised as there is not enough staff and about half the normal trains are now cancelled-till further ntoice. NOT all planners have that already in
