Hello, im an exchange student in United Kingdom at the moment, and I came here on 2nd of Feb this year.
My Tier 4 visa is valid from 07,Jan,2011.
I've heard that Inter-Rail pass is available only to people who has been living in Europe for more than 6 months.
I have been living in UK for 6months and few days so far when it comes to the First date i came here, but
I had visited my home country last month (Asia). In other words, it becomes less than 6 months if the one month i had in my home country is considered.
I need to depart at least on 22nd Aug, but Im confused which to buy, inter-Rail or U-rail.
Please anyone who got the info about it, help me. :)
Thank you

Hi.
I answered already your email. Please either make one post or send an email - posts are more welcome so the information is visible and helpful for all user. Thank you. :)
Go for the Interrail pass, as you had main residence in the UK for the past 6 months - which your visa also shows.
Peter :)

Thank you for your help :)
I want to just make sure once more that i am a inter-Rail user.
If I consider the one month in my home country, it does not become the 6months.
(literally ive stayed in UK for about 5 months )
Is it okay with me in case the train staff sees the stamps of my home country?
ive got two stamps that i flied out to UK on these date ( Feb 01, Aug 03 )
plus, my tier 4 visa is valid from Jan, 2011 to June, 2012.
Thank you very very much !! :D

Hi.
I don't know what a Tier visa is exactly.
But as it shows that you have main residence in the UK since the beginning of February 2011, you completed the 6 months. It doesn't matters that you had a holiday stay somewhere outside of the UK.
Your visa simply has to proof that you entered the UK for main residence at least 6 months before you start interrailing. Go for Interrail.
Peter :)
