My friend and I are travelling around Scotland in May by train/coach/taxi etc. I was wondering if it is feasible to go from Glasgow to Loch Lomond and then onto Fort William by train or combination coach/train please? We will then continue on to Portree and visit the Isle of Skye. Thank you

Google maps has, beside cars, bikes en own legs also a public transport feature. I see there buses to/from Loch Lomond from/to Glasgow and Fort William.

Thanks for your reply. I have looked at this but it doesn't really help that much. I was hoping someone had already done this trip had some advice

As-as you can see, this is (old and nearly forgotten, except for some google searches) a RAIL=TYrain forum so many posters ahev some kind of railpass or are ´married with trains=they only want on the rails.
Another very simple google search:: coaqch from Gl to LLm´ will lead to result. Mostly in the whole of Scotld there is just 1 major coach (=what the brits call their long-dist. buses) operator. So people tend to think you want a bus as short as feasible off some minor trainstop on that line. (served by ScotRail)
And do not forget that also very famous Loch NESS is also quite close by to this route.
