When do you want to travel ? In Summer there is an nighttrain Budapest - Rijeka , but in Autumn , Winter and Spring there are only a very limited number of trains to Rijeka . But in Winter it requires an overnight stay at Zagreb . The connection I would recommend : Praha hl.n from 05:44 with EC 273 , arriving Budapest Nyugati at 12:28 . There you would have to change station to Budapest Deli , depature there from 15:35 with IC 204 to Zagreb Gk where you would arrive at 21:59 . The next day you would take P 4000 to Rijeka departing at 08:24 , arriving Rijeka at 13:02 . Look for exact Timetables and Tickets at cd.cz , jegy.mav.hu and hzpp.hr . Cherres argon :)
