We arrive Hamburg station at noon from Copenhagen. Can we check luggage with Eurojet (Euronight) for late evening departure to Zurich? How early can we board the train? We have a private sleeping compartment. Thank you

Just to clarify : Theres no Eurojet , only EuroNight or Nightjet ! Im assuming youre not from Europe : As long as it fits into your compartment , you can bring as much luggage as you want . Theres no check luggage ! It depends on the Station you want to board : At Hamburg Altona the train leaves at 21:52 (It shows up normally about 20min prior to depature) , at the Hamburg Dammtor the train stops from 21:59 to 22:01 and at Hamburg Hbf from 22:04 to 22:07 . It all sounds very much to someone from US or the like who thinks its all same-same as on planes. it is NOT. With trains you help yourself-no check-in, no smiling girls etc. IF you want your (probably oversized) luggage to have some rest- ALL major stations-esp. in Germany, have lockers for that-these need to be fed with real money=coins to exact value. Its named ´schliessfach´. In other countries they are now smarter as here in DE and also take cards. Oh-another feature of trains in DE for now is the eternal delays and last-minute changes.
