Hi,

This might sound a bit silly, but I'm going to go for it anyway. We are planning our interrailing trip for this coming September and just went to book our flights home from cologne - manchester on sunday 25th september at 19.15...however when you go to put details in for the flights it only offers two options: mr or mrs. Neither of us are married, and so it obviously makes sense to go for the mrs option, but we are worried about our details then being different to the ones on passports!

Will this matter at all?

Thanks,

Button :)

Hi.
Maybe the best is to ask directly the staff of the airline.
But in German you only have a difference in between of Herr (=male) = Mr.
And Frau (=female) = Mrs.
So just select the right one. Maybe it is simply bad translated.
Peter :)

it is just google-translate. In no passpt whatever that I know is mentioned that a female is either mrs or ms-you only choose male or female and that is in 99,95% of cases not too hard. if it is-transgender and all that- then choose what is mentioned in the passport. Calling an airline for that is utter nonsense-you likely hit some german callcentre and they wont even understand what you are worrying about.
