hey dudes! :D

i'm going on an interrail trip for one month in august and september! Mostly in the south of spain we wanted to use camping-places instead of hostles, but we do not take a tent with us. 8)

So at first: would you recommend sleeping outside without a tent in camping-places or would you even recommend sleeping outside without a tent? and if yes: I need a sleeping bag which is not expensive but keeps me warm at night ( i guess It shouldn't be colder than 15 degrees at night in summer in south spain... any experiences?)
:arr: So do you know any good and not expensive sleeping bag which is good for sleeping in it without a tent???

Greetings

Jule :D

I would strongly reccomend a light weight tent. If you dont take one it will probably rain every night! Probably your best bet for a sleeping bag is to go into a shop such as millets or Blacks (same company and with a very good sale on right now) if you are not in the UK any large outdoors shop is basically the same.

Even if you dont buy from them they have expertise and can easily give you some good advice

Here's what I learned a few years back:

If you sleep in the middle of the desert, it will probably be dry but the temperature can easily go down to freezing point in september (especially if it's in a mountainous area). A tent is recommended and a good sleeping bag for keeping warm.

If you sleep on a camping in a more moderate climate it's going to be warmer at night but it will rain. A tent is recommended in order not to get wet.

I'd like to hear how you did it and if it all went well :)
