It seems to be impossible to travel by public transport from Narvik (Norway) to Kiruna (Sweden) on Monday 10/06/2024. Cann't find any info, timetable, possibility to buy tickets? Alternatives? Any help/suggestions are welcome. Kind Regard, Dan

We did. as far as I can tell there is ONE bus per day, when there were 2 or 3 trains. I suspect essential residents have a different way of booking.
Let me explain, the railway was wrecked twice in a suspiciously short length of time. The essential (to the west) iron ore traffic is severely disrupted, as are millions of euros a week of other trade. Some are viewing this as Russian sabotage as preparation for a war. Tourists are not a priority.
If you are in Narvik, try a bus towards Bodo and the Norwegian rail network. If you haven't got there, don't go.

As I plan to travel from Narvik into Sweden later this year I have looked at back up plans in case this situation still continues and I have to change my plans. The best alternative may be a taxi, not the cheapest way, but depends how many in your party sharing the cost. Would be between 2,500 and 4000 NOK and would take just over a couple of hours for the trip. Google "Taxis from Narvik to Kiruna" may give you some ideas.
