do i have to book or i can travel free on every (or most) train when i have interrail tiket?

You can find a detailed list here : https://www.interrail.eu/en/support/reservations/which-trains-require-seat-reservations . Nighttrains always requires a reservation ! Cheeres argon :)

Varies a lot between countries-as explained in about any 2nd post here: SPain is th very worst, then FRance-those TGV and €* trains, Italy, the rest is far easier. In countries like CH, NL, BE often you cannot even REServe. DE=Germany even still has a very few overnite ICE=seats oly trains and you an use these without RES-they mostly aim at early/late dep/arr on major airports.
