This might be a complicated journey even without a handicapped passenger, how far into Italy??? And what is the handicap?
Getting from København H. to Como/Milano or Verona/Bologna/Venezia is straightforward, as long as all the new trains work......
You go Hamburg in the afternoon (see DSB) and then have a choice of nightrains ( www.nightjet.com) . Go to either Basel/Zurich (choose for best onward connection) then direct to Como or Milano. Or go to München and then direct train to Verona/ Bologna/ Venezia. All of these trains offer spacef ro wheelchairs and nightjet have some cabins for handicapped passengers (but you need to decide whether they are good enough). Hamburg/Basel/Zurich/München are all well organised to provide assistance between trains.
But direct trains further into Italy are rare and Italian facilities can thin out further south.
