No, there is ONE international train per day to Turkey, it goes from Sofia and during summer also has ONE through car from Bukaresti. It is VERY difficult to get a reservation on and you would still have to find your way to one of those places.

There are no trains from Sweden to anywhere south of Hamburg / Berlin. And they are only slightly more frequent than the one to Turkey - which only goes to Halkali not Istanbul.

At least no direct one , Serbia is also nearly impossible to go to by train , only the trough-car (runs 15.06 until 14.10) from RO is an option , to get to Bucuresti is much easier but it takes really long (50h) . This connection would be SJ Euronight Stockholm-Hamburg (-Berlin) , from there to Wien (ICE 91) and then D/IRN 374 to Bucuresti , arrival would be 15:06 (in Bucuresti) . Kind regards argon :)

By making longer stops its much more chill and there are quite some beautiful cities along the route . But weather you want to make some detours or not you definitly have to sleep in Bucuresti because the Train from Wien/Budapest arrive around 15:00 and the Train to Halkali is departing at 10:47 . Btw. from Halkali you can Metro B1 to the center . Cherrs argon
