Do we need a seat reservation from Paris St Lazare Station to Caen? RER train should take us from there.

It doesn't seem to be possible by RER and the TER trains (now branded Krono) on that line require reservation for most ticket types.

I see some TER trains with 5 numberdigits with change in Rouen Rive Droite which do not need reservation. If you have the Interrail app push "no seat reservations"

90 minutes extra. That's for the traveller to decide if it's worth it, not for us.
