Hello!
I would like to ask if I need to bring my passport with me on my trip? Is it necessary to buy the Interrail pass? I am from Poland, so I am a citzen of UE. The only non UE country, which I am going to is Serbia, and it is just on my way from Venice to Budapest. The lady in the railway station, which sells the Interrail tickets told me I need to bring my passport. Was she right? or all I need is my ID?

Hi!
You can use either your passport or ID to get your InterRail pass. You will need whichever document you choose during your trip since conductors can check your ticket and then ask for your passport/ID.
Anyway, you always have to carry a document with you to prove your identity, even within the EU (and also Schengen area). You would have to check if all countries you are passing through will accept your ID or if a passport is required.
And since you will be crossing Serbia I'd take the passport anyway. You could check at their embassy's website what is required to enter the country, but I think you'll need it.

EDIT: Oh and do not forget that you could also buy your InterRail ticket from our partner :arr: https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route#/pass/interrail_global_passes/ in order to support all the work here on railcc. :)

Thank you. I would love to support You all, because all of You are so helpful, but it is too late for me and I regret that I didn't buy it earlier.
