Trying to find an affordable and interesting train ride from Bodo (northern Norway) to Copenhagen. All the flights have seven hour or more layovers and I might as well use this same amount of time riding a beautiful train through beautiful country.

You need at least 7 hours for a ride from Oslo to Copenhagen and almost a whole day from Bodo to Oslo. See www.vy.no

"almost a whole day from Bodo to Oslo" correct, and that will include a whole night somewhere in the journey. I think something is missing from the question because the normal average flight time including the layover is just over 4 hours. So is this for a particuar busy date (when the trains will also be full)? or just the cheapest airlines (which the trains will be dearer than)? Or inablity to find flights in Google?
