Hej,
no problem to ask, that's why we run the forum . ;) Of course we are happy if you purchase your InterRail pass at our partner so you directly support all our work here.
However, you have the option of trains with compulsory reservation and free trains on both legs.
From Paris to Dijon there are rather frequent TGV trains which take ~1h30 and require a reservation which is normall 6€. This can be as high as 18€ if the limited places for 6€ are gone - which is quite likely if you book at short notice.
You cant get these reservation at a station in the UK, but you can get them at our partner :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
But since you need them at short notice I'd not recommend this as reservations have to be shipped per mail. Alternatively you can also get not 100% official reservations as described here :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42
There are also several regional trains Paris - Dijon which do not require a reservation but they take ~3h.
TGV trains depart at Gare de Lyon, TER (regional trains) depart at Gare de Bercy and might require a change of trains in Laroche Migennes.
From Beaune to Geneve I'd not go with TGV, instead use TER connections without reservation again; connections run about every two hours taking ~4h30, a change of trains in Lyon is required.
