Hello,

In the summer we want to go to lake Lugano (Porlezza) in Italy. We want to use an auto train. Is the best way to travel? And where can I buy tickets also for the way back? Thanks in advance.

Is the best way to travel? That depends on where you are starting from but, unless you have a good reason to be in Kandersteg, probably NO! Going to Domodossola will leave you on the wrong side of Lago Maggiore and the Lugano Prealps for Porlezza. The auto train only goes as far as Iselle di Trasquera and there are very few direct trains. This could be an expensive way of making the journey harder.

I don't think you need direct trains, when you have a car.

without a direct train you need reservations on two trains and will be stuck in Brig for around 90 minutes, making it even less like the best way to travel.
