When we buy a reservation via the railcc partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] - is the ticket then shipped to us? And is that the only valid proof of our reservation? Or do we also get a PDF/e-ticket on e-mail/confirmation number that would be enough for the trip? I am just thinking if I book a reservation while out travelling! Just want to make sure...

Hej,

you'll get a paper reservation just as you do at a station. So there is no way to just show a special code or e-ticket to the conductor - you'll need to wait for the ticket.
So it is not the best option while you are travelling; better get your reservations at a station.

Hi.
The exact shipping time is shown at the end of your order procedure: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] . As it might vary from country to country. For the UK it is usually faster, as for example for Russia - as tickets are dispatched from the UK - just to explain. :)

Standard shipping time is up to 7 business days - and it is free to most European countries.
Express shipping is up to 3 business days - with an extra priority fee of EUR 10-15.

But the binding values are always the ones you see at the end of your order - of course before you pay!! :)

Peter :)

Thank you for all the answers! So since it's only a week for shipping, maybe I'll reserve a couple of my train rides before I leave. We'll seee. Thanks again!

Another question - when I try to book this train from Zurich to Paris: https://rail.cc/en/train/-to-, which is supposed to be £8, the price that shows up in your shop is only £19?

And when I try to book a reservation for this night train from Paris Austerlitz to Irun, https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-irun-icn-4053/112, it says Book these trains separately?

Hi Karoline.

Zurich - Paris: the EUR 19 are FIRST class reservations, not the 2nd class reservations mentioned in the description on the railcc. If only 1st class is show, the system of the French railway company doesn't offers anymore (or at time) 2nd class reservations. Usually booked out.
Try [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux]

Paris - Irun: you can't book this route online as Irun is in Spain, the systems simply doesn't allow this. But do it this way: book Paris Montparnasse - Hendaye, just the border station on the French site. No problem then crossing the border. :)
Try booking at [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux]

I afford to add my question to same topic, when it is discussing here.
A have problem to buy two reservations in your shop.

:arr: 1. Lyon 12:07 - Avignon 13:31 | TGV 5313 on monday 15.8.
When I fill in From: Lyon Part Dieu, To: AVIGNON TGV, Deparature: 2011-08-15 12:00, Number of travelers: 1 and check I am traveling with a rail pass , the only result I will get is error: Your journey requires multiple connections. Try booking shorter segments individually. But it is not this case. And it is same in different dates and timings.

:arr: 2. Barcelona 15:00 - Madrid 17:52 | AVE 3162 on tuesday 16.8.
I fill in From: BARCELONA SANTS, To: MADRID PUERTA DE ATOCHA, Deparature: 2011-08-16 15:00, Number of travelers: 1 and check I am traveling with a rail pass. Result display only trains departing from 6:00 to 10:00, ane when I click Later trains, the result is the same one, nothing change. And all conenctions are priced 14.00 € except the 10€ statet in yours AVE Surcharges list: https://rail.cc/en-type-country/alta-velocidad-espanola/renfe-ave/23 or the Train connection page: https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-madrid . Did I something wrong?

Thanks for you help.

Hi Zhelva.
Thank you for this very detailed post.

1) Lyon to Avignon: booking is possible without any problems for dates 16th August or later.
As the 15th is now exactly 7 days (one week) from today, there is a kind of blocker in the system.
I forwarded it to the programmers to find a better solution. It is always difficult to implement the different booking engines and in-time-databases of the different European railway companies. If it would be easy, you could buy reservations in every online shop. But it isn't... ;)
Try [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux] for booking.

2) It also depends on the railway company where the tickets come from. For example the TGV reservations are sold to the price of EUR 9. If a railway only gives the reservations without any commission to a shopping system like the railcc partner link, a processing fee has to be added. As it is not possible to have employees printing tickets, putting tickets in envelopes and then send them for free (in standard service) to the customers. The company would die within one month.
For you it has the advantage to be able to book Spanish reservations for Interrail/Eurail pass holder easy online in advance. Otherwise it is not possible (maybe some agencies will offer it, but you will see: as well with additional fees).

Thanks for reply, Peter.
This issue about prices is now clear for my. The system must live from something, that's of course. 8)

But there is still the problem for me with this AVE connections. If system won't display any conection for afternoon, does it mean, that there are no more avalible seats in all trains? It is same for 16.8. as for example in 23.8. or some tuesday day else.

Thank you for the TGV booking link [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux]

Anyway. Thanks you for you help and interes.
