In the past you could buy Interrail reservations at the counter or at least we could sell it from my counter experience but now it is not possible anymore since 2024 to Spain and it seems even renfe.es does not support to buy a ticket with Interrail (nor on interrail.eu) as some other countries do (sj.se or öbb.at).
To buy in Spain on short notice is a bad idea since trains need to be reserved and in summer months they are sold out way in advance. What are now the options to reserve a seat in a RENFE train with an interrail pass.

SOME are available through the Interrail reservation service, see App or website. But not all, and we agree it's not good enough - but RENFE don't care.
