Does DSB still operate inter-regional trains? What are their routes and what rolling stock is used?

Hey,
As far as I know the DSB network consists of RE (regional) or IC (Intercity) services and ICL (fast Intercity Lyn trains with less stops). Then you have the S-tog for the Copenhagen area with suburban (S) and Øresundstog (Re/Ø). IR or Inter-Regio designation is non-existent.

In terms of rolling stock you will find the strangely looking IC3 MF, the Vectron (DSB EB), DSB EA and the DSB MG and DSB MP which is also known as IC4 and IC2, respectively and were built by AnsaldoBreda.
Those trains have had a lot of issues and a lot are just stationary somewhere or sold - like some to Romania. Of the IC2 non is in service now with DSB - IC4 are. Some IC2 were sold to Astra Trans Carpathic and one went to a railway museum in Odense and the rest will be scrapped.

Fact: One IC4 trainset is in Libya - was gifted by Berlusconi to Gaddhafi in 2010.
