Is there any tricks to go and return in same day to Interlaken Ost, to change platforms in Bern is a suitable time?

Use www.sbb.ch/en to check trains times, any connection time shown is enough for people who follow signs without needing to ask anyone.

Connections via Visp are usually longer - and more expensive if you don't have a Pass and need tickets. If you do need tickets the prices shown on the first answers page assume that you have a Swiss Half Price card - if you don't the price will be doubled at the purchase stage. Any solution with a % symbol before the departure time is showing a discounted advance purchase price (also at half rate), these have fixed trains and cannot be changed but the purchase stage will let you change this to a flexible price. Advance purchase discounts are not offered on busy trains and may sell out.

The big question is why go to Interlaken? It's overhyped by many travel "advisors", especially those who have never been. The main reason for travelling to Interlaken is to change trains to a mountain route.

Thank you very much for your help, the reason for going to Interlaken would be for the beautiful view of the city, but reading what you wrote, maybe it would be better to go somewhere else. I only have one day to do a trip to and from Geneva, I thought Bern or Interlaken, but I don't have the Swiss half price

Interlaken is not recommended for the city itself, but as starting point for scenery train trips to Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch over Grindelwald and/or Lauterbrunnen

There is isn' a beautiful view of Interlaken (which is only a small town). In fact if you go up higher Interlaken spoils the view of the lakes!

For one day from Geneve in that direction go to Spiez and in at least one direction go via Montreux and Zweisimmen (even though connections might be faster via Bern) . Spiez isn't much but the castle and the view from it are worth a look (the view of the mountains above Interlaken is better from Spiez) and the scenery on the journey will be worthwhile. Do not use connections with a change of train at Visp as a lot of the journey will be in tunnel.
