Buenas tardes, por favor necesito información para una reserva en el tren nocturno para los primeros días de diciembre de bangkok a Chiang en primera categoría y sólo me da opción de segunda clase. Muchas gracias

Sawasdee-I will also be back in BKK by that time. IF you stay the odd day in BKK before taking this trip, then simply buy when there at estacion -or, pay extra fee, from some travel agent present in ANY BKK touristy area. There are several overnite trains that differ in quality-and also price.
Also note that since early this yr these trains start from the NEW big estacion in northern BKK beside Chatuchak.
In any case SRT=Thai rail only starts selling tix 1 month before. 5/12 is a national holiday in TH. Arrival will be several hours late-in 98% of all trips.
BUSes are much quicker, cheaper and many more in nr from the nearby Mochit big busstation.
